Last week while Charity Shop shopping I found a small framed woven
picture of a Kingfisher which I decided to rescue and dress up a bit!
Here's what it looked like when taken out of the frame.
The information label was on the back of the mountboard.
(I left the wooden frame and glass in the shop)
I then had fun trawling through my stash to find various pieces
of lace, fabric and fibres to complement the picture.
I thought these fibres made a good nest!

Sherry this is just lovely... I never get things like this in charity shops.. they're proably there it's just that I don't see the potential! The colours complement the beautiful birdie perfectly. x
Me again - here's a bit about the makers of your lovely kingfisher

That is lovely - and all the better for being "Sherry'd". I saw a kingfisher at the river last year, and will never forget that brilliant flash of colour, followed by us saying "was is...?", "did we just see...?" Amazing.

Gorgeous hanging, wish I could find things like you do in our charity shops. xx
Sherry, this is gorgeous, you're so talented with a sewing machine, it's something I'm really NOT good at, I wish I was xx
An amazing rescue job, everything works perfectly together :D
This is a wonderful repurpose of such a lovely bird art piece. Love your use of colors and the "nest" is perfect. Happy Spring and Birds Who Sing...
It's beautiful, Sherry. Great job.
