I started this several weeks back ever since seeing one on
I finally finished it today!
It's a very simple pattern and easy to sew. I did mine by hand, but it would be a lot quicker to machine stitch.
I've kept mine simple without embellishments as the fabric I used is quite busy. The leaf and stalk are felt with craft wire running through them so they can be shaped.
I think it'll make a great pin cushion.

I love it. I have made a few myself out of old quilts, I may need to make a few more, they do make wonderful pin-keeps. Hugs Mary

Absolute brilliant use of fabric! Love your pear!!
WOW and all by hand... AMAZING. I love not sure I would have the patience to stitch it by hand!

Fantastic pear, clever you making it by hand.
Wonderful pin cushion. I've been looking for inspiration to make one. And your pear is just great!
Sherry, you are such a talented so and so! (or should that be sew and sew LOL). I was lucky enough to win one of Effie's because I'd never get around to making one myself. Have a safe, warm and happy Christmas! xxxx

It would also make a great ornament never mind a pin cushion! Although you'll get oodles of pleasure from your pin cushion same as I have over the years I've had mine, which is nothing like your pear but now I'm waffling.
I just love the material you've used as well, and your pear is perfectly formed, It'll make you smile everytime you get it out, it's certainly making me smile!!
