What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 12th January

Today's post will be short and sweet (just like me!!!)

There's not much on my desk today as I finished a couple of altered matchboxes I was working on yesterday.

The tapestry type fabric is a remnant I bought in my local fabric shop this morning for just £1.  I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, but at that price I couldn't resist!  I think it would make a lovely bag or cushion cover.

To the left are three little cross stitched cottages.  They were originally all one piece of aida.  I didn't stitch them myself, but bought it in a charity shop last year just because I liked the metal hanger it was attached to.  I've decided to make them into three separate fabric collages and have almost finished the first one - it just needs a bit more embellishment I think.

Well that's about it for today!

If you want to see some other desks or work areas, hop over to Julia's blog
where there are links to over 100 more!

Thanks for dropping in, let me know you were here and I'll come and visit you!

great upcycling of the embroidery, someone spent so long doing them and then they ended up in a charity shop and you found the love to use them again, often see pieces like that in the charity shops, shall try to view them with different eyes now and create soemthing using them..siobhan no 100

That was the purchase of the year so far! It would convert beautifully into a bag. The little cottages are cute. It is amazing what you can find in a charity shop.
