Accordian Birthday Card / Booklet

Well, it's sort of an accordian card - as it made up of five small cards which fold up on one another - held together with two lengths of ribbon.
I used card from Tim Holtz 'Lost and Found' Paper Stash
and machine stitched everything together.

One side has the birthday boy's name on it
(an initial on each card),
and the other has pictures of trains locomotives
as my nephew is made about trains!

I couldn't photograph the whole thing in one go unfortunately
but here's some snippets

The birthday greeting will be written on the tag.

The featured locomotives are

Mallard
City of Truro
Flying Scotsman
Stepney
City of Wells

Well that's what they were supposed to be,
but it appears City of Wells is missing and there's an imposter
in there instead!
This is according to my very knowledgable (and also train mad)
OH who provided me with a list of the locos, but left me
to find and print out the images on Google.

I've left the imposter in and wonder whether my nephew
who will be nine next month will notice it's not a proper locomotive -
probably I'm guessing!

Well, they're all just 'trains' to me - LOL,
but I hope he likes it anyway.

What a great personal card for a boy. Not always easy to create for the male species. I too love trains. Happy Birthday to your nephew...

Hi Sherry. Thanks for the visit. I love this idea of an accordian birthday booklet. I clicked on the photos of your craft space and thought you have a great idea of using the closet as a craft cabinet.

I do keep those pretty ATC's on my desk (lol). By the way, I am on YouTube and I show your's and Cindy's at the end of my video. If you want to see it I'm Meriscrapper13 on YouTube. You can just jump toward the end of the video to see how pretty yours looks.

Sorry about the ramblings. Love your ideas!
