We had to alter a matchbox and there had to be a shamrock
or shamrocks in or on the outside of the box.
I found an image with a shamrock on in the
I printed it out on copy paper and adhered it to a piece of cardstock to give it a bit of body. Before adhering it to the front of the matchbox, I threaded some green beads on a thin piece of green ribbon and looped it at either side of the box. I edged the shamrock on the image with Stickles (lime green).
For the drawer inside the matchbox, I coloured the ends with Distress Ink (peeled paint) and found a large green bead which I used as the drawer pull by inserting a brad through the middle and securing to the inside of the drawer.
I lined the inside of the drawer with bright green fabric
and filled it with little green treasures
(and a couple of silver coloured ones too - including a little shamrock charm
which I didn't even know I had until I looked in my stash!)
For the swap we could include an optional Artist Trading Card (ATC). I used the same image (again stuck onto cardstock) edged with distress ink (peeled paint) and then gold marker). For the main background I coloured some kitchen roll tissue with the same distress ink and applied it to the card with Mod Podge. Finished it off with more of the thin green ribbon and another metal shamrock charm (I had two!) coloured with Alcohol Ink (lettuce).
Thanks for looking, and a Happy St Patrick’s Day
to you for tomorrow - if celebrate it.

That box is adorable Sherry! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's amazing what you find when you're not looking for something specific, but when you are, you can never find it! Maybe you found it because of the theme, the good luck charm found you?
