Mother's Day Card

This is the card I've made for my lovely Mum

for Mother's Day - this coming Sunday here in the UK.

The focal point is the dressmaker's form cut from mountboard

using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations 'Sewing Room' die

which I coloured with Distress Ink (Mustard Seed) 

and dressed with wired ribbon.

The background is embossed with

Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations Texture Fades

'Pattern and Stitches Set'

and highlighted with Distress Ink (Shabby Shutters)

I coloured some white seam binding with the

Shabby Shutters Distress Ink too, wrapped it underneath

the embossed card and tied into a bow at the side.

The sentiment is a mixture of different stamps

onto white card and edged with more of the 

Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.

I layered up three 3D sticky foam pads to raise the

form up from the card.
