Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't - this week I will
- what you talking about Willis?
Join in with WOYWW of course!
What's WOYWW?
Well, if you really don't know by now
hop along over to Julia's blog
where she invites anybody and everybody to show
what's on their workdesks every Wednesday.
So, what's on mine?
The orangey matchbox on the right is the one I received
from PeggyR for a one to one 'Spring / Easter'
themed altered matchbox swap.
You may just be able to see the sweet little
beaded doll peeking out - it's adorable!
The green box is what I received today (or should that
be yesterday now) from Teresa for the Flickr
matchbox swap where the theme was 'shamrocks'.
Teresa also included a lovely book of mini tags
a beautiful card and ATC.
Thanks again ladies for the beautiful matchboxes.
What else is on my desk today?
This is the book I'm altering by following
Elizabeth's
amazing altered book course,
or should that be
the amazing Elizabeth's altered book course!
Yes I think so.
So far, I've only completed lessons 1 to 3 - sort of.
I haven't decided what to do with the cover yet, or
how to decorate the back page under the niche.
The main problem I had was choosing a theme
and eventually I settled for sewing / dressmaking etc.
I've prepared some clay torsos, one of which will
go into the niche - well that's the idea anyway.
I have been taking photos along the way and will
post them in the next few days.
Well, I think that's about it for now -
happy desk stalking all you WOYWWers out there
and thank you for coming to see mine :)

Blimey you were up early this week!! Nice crop of pressies you've got there, that doll looks cute. Hope you get on better with your altered book than me - I haven't touched it for months.
But maybe I will do soon......

I love those match boxes. You are one lucky swapper. Glad you have the remains of your niche. Nice to see it. I'm having a terrible time leaving comments on blogs tonight. They don't want to post. I'm starting to get really frustrated. Happy WOYWW from # 7.
What gorgeous pressies! Lucky you :)
It'll be great to come back again and see how your altered book develops. I started one... never finished it (a lot like many projects of mine!)
That stack of papers on the right is just screaming out for a rummage... got itchy fingers here *lol*
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Sherry,
I do love those little altered match boxes. I haven't tried to do that but maybe I might..... I get so many ideas from visiting WOYWW desks that I'll never be able to do everything I want!
The idea for your altered book sounds great. Don't forget to post your progress!
Hugs,

I'm not an alterer, haven't got the guts to try is the truth, so I admire anyone who alters things or makes little boxes and doodads! Lovely busy desk and look forward to seeing the book progress.

I am always intrigued by what you are working on, Sherry! I love your little matchboxes!
While I enjoyed seeing what was on your desk, I loved seeing everything that is around your desk. The inks, stickles, and other hanging goodies are eye candy to me. Thanks for sharing! Dani32
As they say...what a lot you've got Misses!
I'm a newie to WOYWW and can see I've such a lot to learn :D
Those matchboxes are cute.
Enjoyed my peek at your desk ~ thanks Neesie #37
Lovely cozy space you have and neat little matchboxes! Thanks for the peek. (I've no # yet as I won't post until tomorrow - only Tuesday night here. I'm getting a head start on visiting those 'cross the pond who've already posted.)
So many pretty things!
I keep thinking about trying the altered book thing, but I'm pretty sure I'd get the book and it wouldn't get much further than that!

LOL! I am still dithering about my AB theme too... think I'll take it as it comes... Love your desk though and the matchbox.
Altered books and matchboxes - sheer heaven. Love the butterfly on the green one, it would go great with my AB theme of 'wings'. I finished my niche yesterday.

Those boxes are great, and you have so much going on, especially with that book project. Thank you for your visits and lovely comments on our new stamp and daughter's talent. Certainly, Clarity were so easy to deal with, a real pleasure. Have a good week. xx Maggie #5
#168 here...thanks for checking out my messy desk areas! It looks like your inks are pretty organized, use them much? ;-) lol I don't have much in inks right now, I'm just now dipping my feet in the stamping pool. I really love your altered matchboxes and the jointed horse...so cool!
Your creative space looks lovely, Sherry, and I love those little matchboxes.
Thanks for your comment on my blog - if those of us box hoarders on here are representative of the population at large, it's a horrific thought just how much cardboard and polystyrene everybody must be hoarding!! I'm sure it could be put to better use lol!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshii #14
