Oriental Birthday Card

Yesterday I had a play with my Gelli Plate
but not very sucessfully - I couldn't get
the right combination of colours to work.

However, whilst brayering off the excess paint
onto some card I managed to make what I think
was quite a nice, sketchy, scruffy effect and
it became this card.

I don't know what this type of card is called -
a gatefold?  The flaps turn back on themselves,
maybe an accordian gatefold?

The main stamps I used were from
Lynne Perrella Collection from PaperArtsy
(number LPC022).
Plus a few others from my stash.

I stamped the images onto book text
(the book appropriately called 'Geisha')

A space to write the birthday greeting on the back.

Thanks for looking :)

Brayered off backgrounds are a great byproduct of gelli printing (keep perservering!) and I love your Oriental card.

Great card love the images, and a good way to use up the inks.

Oh wow, such a stunning card! I love how you've used the stamps and the colours are fab. Accordion gate-fold will do for me! Jx
