Mermaid for a day
This month's theme over on the MAD (Monthly Art Doll) Flickr group is 'Mermaids'. Although the swap draw is taking place when I'm away on holiday I couldn't resist making a mermaid, so here she is!
Her face is another moulded air dried clay one, fibres for her hair and a crown made from card with some glitter and gems on.
Her top is part of an old scarf (stuck onto the body with some Anita's 3-D Clear Gloss Finish. Under her top she has a sparkly bra of 'Beadazzles' and a matching navel piercing - she has some of the same sparkle on her eyelids too!
Her tail is the easiest part of all to make. It's silver self adhesive tape stuck onto a card base, freehand embossed and coloured with alcohol inks.
The shoulder butterfly embellishments I found in my stash and I think they make her extra special - well, she has to make the most of being a Mermaid for a day!
