Pink Goddess Art Doll

This is another goddess doll using the template from The Enchanted Gallery website.

The template was cut from mountboard.  I painted on her dress with pink acrylic paint then once dry, rubber stamped over the top with an Anna Griffin background stamp.  The pretty little corsage was bought already assembled.

For her neck and shoulders I painted on some of Ranger's Distress Crackle Paint (picket fence colour).  Once it had done it's stuff and crackled I painted on some gold Perfect Pearls, then sealed it with some Matte Accents.  The gold doesn't really show though and it does look as though the Goddess is suffering from some really dry skin!  Well all I can say is, it seemed like a good idea at the time!

The face is moulded from air dried clay and coloured with a mixture of acrylic paints, chalks and watercolour pencils.

The thing I like best about this doll is her hair!  It's 100% wool, so soft and has a lovely curl to it.  It's from another scarf I bought in the sale in Primark - just £2 I think it was.  As it was so lovely I had to go back and buy another one for me to wear!  I also got one in dark brown, but I'll keep that one in with my craft supplies as it'll also make great hair!
Who thinks I'm mad?  No, don't answer!!

Love the stamping on her body. I was going to ask you what you use for the hair ;) I can see a trip to Primark coming on, just hoping that they still have some scarves left!! LOL

I bet your dolly would sell in Primark too! It's gorgeously artful and you can tell she's a real woman: no time to moisturise and suffering an outbreak of eczema on the neck. Just swap her hair for the brown scarf and she's me to a tee!!!!! Hee hee hee:)

Sherry, she is awesome! I love her face and perhaps it is not her skin, but she is wearing a croco embossed leather jacket?? She is very, very pretty! Is the hair the scarf fringe? Cool. I found a lady that was giving away some wool from her sheep and received it this week. Need to wash and now I know what to do with it besides needle felting with it.

She's beautiful Sherry, I've never tried this template but love using her doll template with the arms and legs.
Isn't it a crying shame she doesn't ship to the UK!!!!!!
I would love some (OK most) of her stamps!
If you hadn't said about the dry skin I would never have thought along those lines. I was just thinking ooh nice technique!

Can't beat a nice bit of primark.
I buy their jewellery with an eye to breaking it up for crafting.

I know!! It looks like she's wearing high necked victorian lace - not scabby skin at all but lace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My work is done here ;-)
