Birthday Card - for my little Bonze!

My little Bonze is a pet name for my nephew Aaron who will be eight next week - I know
TMI (too much information), but it wouldn't have
made any sense if I hadn't told you now would it!

I wasn't going to blog this card at all as it is
a bit personal, but it is nice to have a record of
cards made to look back on and as a reference.

The background is a white core cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder then lightly sanded (yes, I've been watching the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft TV too!)

The wording I printed off onto plain white card and outlined with Promarkers, then cut out and stuck on.

The main image is a Stampotique rubber stamp
'Heart Shirt'
which I stamped, cut out and coloured with Promarkers.

I didn't think My lttle Bonzer Boy would appreciate the funny looking
character that is 'Heart Shirt', so I enhanced his face a little - and
added some hair (more of the scarf I use coloured with Promarker).

Aaron's has beautiful blue eyes and really long eyelashes
so I'm justifed in making this look a bit girly!
I don't know if he'll approve of the hair style I've given him though!

Topped off with a die cut crown from Sizzix/Alterations Bigz die
'Heart Wings' and a few gems added.

Thanks for looking!

It's adorable! You know creating art is nothing but personal and makes a blog even more interesting in the long run, so thank you for sharing all the beauties that come from your heart!

Oh, this is GORGEOUS Sherry.... I love how you've personalised it and the domino folder is perfect. Just right for a little 8 year old. Aaron wil love it... even more so because it's from his favourite auntie!

What a coincidence though! I used core-card for mine and we must have been making them at about the same time. As you say.... great minds LOL

I sat on my hands so as not to order the tim coredinations papers on c&c LOL In my limited experience of 8 year old boys I'm betting your card will go down a storm - it's fab!

Yes but have you rushed out and bought the magic cloth with the special ingredient that wipes the dust away?
What could that magic ingredient be I wonder?
Wee? Furniture polish? Jizzum?
We could save a fortune and make our own...
On second thoughts - Nah, sounds a bit messy.
I don't normally watch the telly but watched because they used Karen Hall's work as examples of projects to do with Tim Holtz products. She does amazing work and I know her through my local craft shop.
Her blog is http://thelittleshabbyshed.blogspot.com/

I'm sure I've seen him on TOTP's? Didn't he flowers in his back pocket and was called Morrisey?
I'm really sad you weren't available to do my wedding make-up, you've such a talent for bringing out the best features.
(My fringe looks just like that on my wedding photo's!)
He looks BRILLIANT Sherry, love him, LOL!!! Bonze will love him!
