What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday week 248

Well, I had my camera out and it is Wednesday, so
I thought I'd link my desk up to Julia's WOYWW post.

I've just finished a couple of things so there's no work in
progress on show. I've been making faux leather following
Sheena Douglass' YouTube tutorial and I'll be writing up
a full post on that next (I love her technique!).
As you can see, I've made a couple of notebooks
and emery board holders (if you're interested in the holders,
I do have a tutorial showing  how to make them here.

If the cats are not around, I photograph my stuff in the
cats' bedroom  guest bedroom on the white bedspread
on music paper on a sheet of parchment - that's why
the holders are sitting on the music book at the moment -
I've just photographed them and brought them back into
the craft room.

To the left (to the left, everything you own in the box
to the left - just having an Irreplaceable Beyonce moment!) -
is my March tag for Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014.
If you want a good look, I've blogged it here

The rolls of paper you can see - I bought in Hobbycraft
last week in the sale.  They are adhesive fabric paper rolls
by Papermania/docrafts.  I haven't put them away yet
because if I do, I'll forget all about them!

Finally, just behind my Ipad, you may be able to see
some small yellow envelopes.  These were given to me
by my husband who thought I might find them useful.
He kindly donates all kinds of bits and pieces I might
find useful - and sometimes I even do!

Oh, before I go, see those large scissors in the
first photo?  They are my very favourite scissors, always
sharp even though I use them on paper and fabric -
and where did I get them - in the Pound Shop (in the
decorating section)!

Better go now or I'll keep rambling and this was
going to be a short post!

Thanks for looking, and if you leave me a comment,
I'll hop on over to your blog.

It's been forEVER since I visited. Glad to be able to reconnect. I always say the background makes all the difference in the world, especially if you are selling something. I really LOVE the idea of the parchment paper over sheet music. Fab idea I may have to try. Of course, my parchment paper is far thicker than yours, so I may have to use something else. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi, it's Sharon, #95. I am glad you explained the sheet music, as I am a pianist and was wondering how you connected it with your crafting! Your cat has a whole room, huh? My cat only owns one bathroom!

I have not heard of adhesive fabric paper rolls before. What are you planning to create with them? Clicked and saw the tag, stunning.

Oh faux leather! I love faux leather...I use TH's technique or Neil's Expression water technique. I'll have to check out Sheena's. Where's the kitties? The girls always like to see distant cousins. ;) Thanks for the earlier visit! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #101

Love the faux leather look. I made a wallet for a gift card with that technique before. Mine didn't come out looking as good as yours did though, that's for sure. I'll have to check out the differences in technique. I once ordered scissors for the office and they shipped me a really long pair like the ones you have there. The ladies made jokes about envy. It was nice getting the peek at your desk and nice that the cat's sometimes allow you to use their room. Thanks for the WOYWW visit earlier. Judy #92

Hi Sherry, thanks for visiting me earlier and your kind words.
I just love this faux leather technique and your note books and emery board holders are gorgeous.
I really must give it a go, they would make lovely gifts.
Happy crafting, Angela x 63

great looking desk with lots of fun things to look at. DH keeps a look out for me too! Don't know what I would do without his help some days. Sorry I am so late getting by this week but at least I had some time come open so I could do some blog hopping! Thanks for sharing your awesome desk! Vickie aka Okienurse #57
